Thoughts, memories, comments?	My first meeting with Tommy was many years ago thru little league. Phil my son was not the best player but Tommy and his Father always inspired Phil to do his best. I will always remember the family as one I always admired. Family is a very powerful word in our world today and they are living proof of the power of the word. It seems like just yesterday we were hanging out at josh's or at school having a good time. I noticed tonight all of the tension at your house, especially in your mother's eyes. It was as if everyone was holding something in and they were afraid to say it. Everyone misses you and your memories will always remain deep and never forgotten in our hearts. Thoughts, memories, comments?	Tommy, It's been a year today, and I still can't understand WHY. I don't think anyone will.You've been on our minds a lot lately.Little things remind us of you. Lance Armstrong winning the Tour De' France, had me recalling ,you channel surfing in the hospital,and you stopped when they were showing him, and you telling the nurse that he was winning.When I rememebered he was a cancer survior it gave me hope for you that you would make it.These storms lately,seeing the surfers thinking you SHOULD be out there enjoying the waves,Just the little things.I will never forget when your Mom called, I woke my daughter,and said Tommy's Mom just called..She broke out in a a cry I've never heard come out of her before.I didn't have to say the rest.Your friends have tried so hard to be there for your family,God Bless them, but anyone who was lucky enough to be real close with you, like my daughter, will never be able to fill the void.At your funeral everyone kept saying yur suffering had ended, I couldn't help but look at your family and know that their suffering had just begun , and there isn't anything anyone can do to make it better.I think that's the most heart breaking part of it all. You ARE so LOVED and so MISSED, it just seems like God made a mistake taking you from them,taking you from LIFE here. You will always be loved and deeply missed. Peace.

Thoughts, memories, comments?	I have been putting off writing here for a long time. I come to this site and look at the pictures and read everyone's thoughts and nothing could honor Tommy more than the love and respect given to him by his family and friends. I love Tommy and I still can't believe he is gone. I lost my aunt a month ago yesterday and I haven't acknowledged the fact that she is gone. I guess it is the same way with Tommy..I still wait to run into him on his way to the beach with his surf board in tow. I realized reading everyone elses comments that he and my aunt aren't necessarily "gone" because they live so vibrantly through each and everyone of us. I hope Tommy knows that I thank God everyday for giving me the opportunity to know him. Mom and Dad V. I love you guys and take care. IF TOMMORROW NEVER COMES If I knew it would be the last time that I'd see you fall asleep, I would tuck you in more tightly and pray the Lord your soul to keep. If I knew it would be the last time that I see you walk out the door, I would give you a hug and kiss and call you back for one more. If I knew it would be the last time I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise, I would video tape each action and word, so I could play them back day after day. If I knew it would be the last time, I could spare a minute or two to stop and say I love you , instead of assuming that you would know I do. If I knew it would be the last time I would be there to share your day, well I'm sure you'll have so many more, so I can let just this one slip away. For surely there's always tommorrow to make up for an oversight, and we always get a second chance to make everything right. There will always be another day to say our I love you's. And certainly there's another chance to say our Anything I can do's. Thoughts, memories, comments?	As I sit here reading all these wonderful comments towards Tommy I can't help but feel a little out of place. I unlike most, haven't known Tommy for a lifetime, I didn't grow up with him, we never went to school together and I only knew him a few months before his untimely death. What Tommy taught me in those few months made an extraordinary impact on my life. He never said anything specific to me. He spkoe through his actions. He was very carefree, and listened to me when I wanted to talk. I remember when I first saw him, a single cigar tucked behind his ear. He had this presence, and although I didn't know him, he was someone I wanted to know. I remember how Fred and JP sang Chik Magnet and till this day when I hear it Tommy automatically comes to mind. What I remember most was a song that they sang on the spot. It was b.s. basically, it was about me, the girl in the yellow shirt. For once in my life, I felt good, and genuinely happy. Tommy made me truly happy. I guess I now know that life is too short and that I need to consider what's truly important to me. Coming here and reading all these comments people write truly prove how amazing Tommy was, and is. So, here, now, on Christmas, I too would like to let everyone know just how incredible Tommy was, and what an impact he made on my life, even though I live almost 60 miles away. Mr. and Mrs. Voorhees thank you for raising such a wonderful wonderful child. Merry Christmas all!

The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away that tear, for I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year! Thoughts, memories, comments?	HI. I didn't know Tommy. I only heard about him when Allyson spoke of him and how sad she was in his illness taking him to the lord. I tried to help her with the loss. She has become a very good friend to me. She has told me of how Tommy was full of life, funny and musically inclined. I just wanted to say that his story has touched me all the way in Vermont. Thoughts, memories, comments?	I wasnt in town for Tommys service... so I guess you could say I never got the chance to say goodbye. I dont think that reality actually hit me til tonight.... But I know in my heart that Tommy was with us as we performed. I'm so glad that we can do something for the Voorhes' to try to give back what they gave to this world: Tommy. Although Tommy and I werent very close friends, we hung around the same group of people, and began hanging out through them more often. I think that Tommy was one of those rare people that once you meet them, you just dont ever forget. He was one of those people that could get along with everyone. He was so laid back and cool and he was always a trip!! I think that my favorite memories of Tommy were, first, last year in math class..... He would come into class with his fave t-shirt on and just chill in the back of the class, in his laid back style... just laughing as we would make jokes about Mr Sloan... and then he would always get mad and say "Thomas!" (lol) :) Ano

I didn't kmow tommy but i do know a few of his friends and from what they have told me he was a wonderful young man. i have a little poem i would like to share with all of you. people deny reality they fight against real feelings caused by real circumstances. they build mental worlds of shoulds oughts and might of beens. real change begins with real appraisal and acceptance of what is. then and only then is realistic actions possible.don't pray when it rains if you don't pray when the sunshines. i lost one of my bestfriends 3 yrs ago and that was his favoriate saying so i just felt like it was nice to share with all of you. may god bless you and help heal your heart in your time of sorrow

SO I KEPT MY VISIT SHOT AND SWEET.I REMEMBER HOW HE SAID GOOD BY .HE WAS ON THE PHONE (probanly withone of his girlfriends):) and he said "LATER NANC"....Never did i think it would be the last time we spoke. A few days later i moved to gainesville.and about a month and a half later i had a dream,about graduation and hoe he got a standing ovation and i ran over to him and gave him a huge kiss, and ran back to my seat. The weird thing about the dream is that the very next afternoon my mother called me and told me the heart breaking news that my friend Tommy passed one earlier that day. i was so confused and up set the 1st thing i did was run outside and pleeded with god "YOU DIDNT EVEN LET ME SAY GOODBY" when i went to visit the family i was scared. the 1st person i saw was terri his mom and all i wanted to do was crumble in her arms and cry.but i contained myself for both our sake. i missed the funeral witch was hard ,,but i got my closure when tommy came to me in a dream and told me he loved me and that he was ok and all about his beach house,,babes,,surfboards and guitars...his own little paradise. i realize hes not suffering anymore,no more pain,,no more fear.. so in closing i leave this, one last hug xoxo and kiss . now we celebrate your eternal life. so untill we meet agian i love youb and ill see you in my dreams love always n forever nancie (the neihbor):)

Thoughts, memories, comments?	i met keri and her family when i first moved here my freshman year. they accepted me as one of their own and i really appreciate them for that! tommy was so littleat the time. i remember him and markie playing baseball at the park and keri and i hanging out and getting in trouble. i will never forget when tommy had his first little date. it was the cutest thing and i felt like it was my little brother going out with a girl for the first time. i feel like he was the little brother that i never had. i loved all the great times that i had with the voorhees family and i wish them the best of luck and a mile of smiles! i love you guys!!! IT DIDNT TAKE LONG FOR ME TO FALL IN LOVE W/TOMMY AND HIS FAMILY.ABOUT A WEEK AFTER I MET THEM, IF THAT LONG.THEY ACCEPTED ME WITH LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP.SO THEY ARE BY FAR THE COOLEST NEIHBORS I EVER HAD. What i loved most about tommy was the way he was with people.he had this calm, smooth way about him that every one who met him loved him.I believe with all his abilities and talents,he could have taken on the world, and WON. I often think about the times we did share together.Like when he came to the little get togther i had on my 18th birthday.where i got my first guitar.Tommy promised he would help me teach myself how to play.Not to mention the numerous times we would end up coming home at the same time and meet in one of our driveways and bullshit for at least an hour about what we did that day.he was always willing to lisen to be bitch about something..lol he never told me to shut up anyway ,so that was nice of him.lol... One night we were outside talking and he promised me that he would teach me how to surf. but by this time he was sick and wasnt allowed to go to the beach. So he said "My first trip back to the beach you can come with me" "its a date" i said back...If my memorie is right in that same conversation he convinced me to go to grad night at disney world with our class. We promised to sit next to each other.and we did . The whol ride there we talked and talked about all the stuff we were gonna do when he got better.this experiance brought us 100 times closer. I admire the strength the showed throughout his illness.I couldnt even begin to imagine what he was thinking and feeling.He sure did a great job at hiding those fears from us,probably his way of helping us cope with him being sick. I remember the last time I saw Tommy.I came over to visit like usual, and I could tell that he didnt really feel like company. he had a patch over his left eye and i know it hurt him for any one to see him like that,so i kept my vi

Thoughts, memories, comments?	tommy was one of those people that you can never forget he would do some of the most craziest things and the only thing you could say was thats tommy my best and most unforgetable memory about tommy. sarah,eriane,jp,eric,and some other people all went to the north jetti. he was trying to teach me how to surf on his long board in the process lost his keys to the van. we sat there for an hour trying to break into the van then we seen some black dude that worked there, he went and got a hanger and opened it in 2 seconds. then we went to checkers and some other black dude gave us free food.

Thoughts, memories, comments?	I remember in July of 1999 it was my daughter's Sarah's birthday. At the party Sean and his band were playing.Tommy thought the amplifiers was sounding wrong so he went home and got his and his guitar.Then he started playing GLYCERINE by Bush. Sarah's face lit up. Tommy had onced asked her what it would take to sweep her off her feet and she said anyone who can play a BUSH song. Tommy knew how crazy she was about that band and that was his gift to her was to learn it and play it for her at her birthday party.He even got her to get up and sing.There she stood singing solo and Tommy playing guitar solo.He should you didn't need to buy an expensive gift,he just gave her something he knew meant a lot to her.Sadly, in July 2000 Tommy was very ill then,but when he saw Sarah he asked her what she was going to do with her life,her education.He didn't know what his future held from one day to the next yet he let Sarah know he cared about hers.I like a lot of my daughters friends,but I think I can honeslty say,Tommy was one of the most caring friends she has ever had.No one could make her laugh the way Tommy could and even though he was only given 18 years here he touched so many people.He even had taught my youngest child to do the peace sign which she does to this day every time you go to take her picture.Peace Tommy,and thank you for touching Sarah's life ,and mine.
